Community Guidelines

 

Welcome to greenhalo. This community exists to support safer, more authentic, and more mindful connections, in line with our Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy. These guidelines set the shared expectations for everyone using the platform. They apply to all features, including profiles, messages, OffScript, HaloSpace content, comments, reactions, and any community interactions. By using greenhalo, you agree to follow these guidelines and help uphold the kind of space we all want to be part of. 

 

Our Community Values 

These guidelines operate alongside, and do not replace, the greenhalo Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy.

Where there is any inconsistency, the Terms and Conditions prevail. greenhalo is built on four core pillars: 

  • Safety Everyone deserves to feel safe, respected, and in control of their experience. 

  • Authenticity We encourage honest self expression and discourage misrepresentation or performance for attention. 

  • Mindfulness Connection is emotional. We ask members to act with care, empathy, and self awareness. 

  • Community Trust This is a shared space. Individual behaviour affects the experience of others. 

 

What We Encourage 

We welcome content and behaviour that reflects the following: 

  • Respectful, kind, and considerate communication

  • Honest representation of yourself, your age, and your intentions

  • Content that supports healthy connection, reflection, and learning

  • Constructive feedback when invited, especially within Compass features

  • Thoughtful participation in HaloSpace discussions

  • Reporting concerns to help keep the community safe. 

 

What Is Not Allowed 

The following behaviours and content are not permitted on greenhalo:

Harassment and Abuse 

  • Bullying, intimidation, or repeated unwanted contact

  • Hate speech or discrimination based on gender, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, religion, disability, or appearance

  • Threats of violence or harm, whether direct or implied 

 

Sexual Exploitation and Harm 

  • Non consensual sexual content or sexualised comments

  • Sharing or requesting intimate images of others without clear consent

  • Sexual content involving minors, which will be reported to relevant authorities 

 

Misrepresentation and Deception 

  • Impersonating another person

  • Providing false age, identity, or relationship status

  • Using manipulated or misleading images intended to deceive

  • Creating multiple accounts to bypass restrictions 

 

Unsafe or Illegal Activity 

  • Encouraging self harm, suicide, or eating disorders

  • Promoting illegal activities or services

  • Sharing instructions for harm, violence, or exploitation 

 

Inappropriate or Disruptive Content 

  • Explicit sexual content outside permitted contexts

  • Graphic violence or disturbing imagery

  • Spam, scams, or commercial solicitation

  • Content designed purely to shock, provoke, or manipulate attention 

 

Images, Video, and Presentation 

We do not police bodies or personal style. However, credibility and trust matter.

Content may be removed if it:

  • Intentionally sexualises the body in a way that distracts from the message

  • Is framed to provoke rather than communicate authentically

  • Conflicts with the purpose of a specific feature, such as OffScript or HaloSpace. This is not about skin. It is about intent, framing, and context. 

 

OffScript Guidelines 

OffScript is designed to support real time authenticity. When using OffScript:

  • Submit your own, unaltered images

  • Respond within the prompt window without heavy filters or edits

  • Avoid staged or misleading content

  • Respect that others may experience OffScript differently. Repeated misuse may result in restrictions. 

 

Compass and Feedback Features 

When giving or receiving feedback:

  • Be honest, but kind

  • Focus on behaviour and patterns, not personal attacks

  • Respect boundaries and consent around who can give feedback

  • Do not attempt to game or manipulate outcomes. Feedback is a privilege, not a weapon. 

 

WingMate and Safety Features 

Safety features exist to support, not replace, real world judgment. 

  • Only nominate WingMates you trust

  • Do not misuse alerts or check ins

  • Respect the seriousness of safety signals

  • False or malicious use may lead to loss of access 

 

Reporting and Enforcement 

We moderate content and behaviour in accordance with these Community Guidelines, our Terms and Conditions, and applicable law. If you see content or behaviour that does not align with these guidelines, please report it.

Our moderation approach may include:

  • Content removal

  • Feature restrictions

  • Temporary suspension

  • Permanent account removal

  • Reporting to relevant authorities where required by law 

Actions are based on context, severity, and patterns of behaviour. 

 

A Note on Support 

greenhalo does not provide medical, mental health, counselling, crisis, or emergency services, and does not monitor users for distress. greenhalo is not a crisis or counselling service. If you are in immediate danger or distress, contact your local emergency number or a trusted support service. 

 

Our Commitment 

These Community Guidelines are enforced to support the safe and lawful operation of the Platform as described in the Terms and Conditions, while respecting user rights and data handling practices set out in the Privacy Policy. 

We aim to enforce these guidelines fairly, consistently, and with care. We know context matters, and we continually refine our approach as the community grows.
